Hi Shevia,
It is wonderful to have a growing resources for young children and their families. I love the fact that it includes websites of nationally and internationally early childhood organizations. I really like your article about the Catholic charities; this organizations provides so much such as food, shelter, foster care, I love the way that they provide for children, families, and seniors during Christmas time.
Hi Shevia, I love your quote on our worry for the future of a child forgeting on who the child is today. It is very true, we really do not understand that today lays the foundation for tomorrow, and the kind of input today will generate output that is desirable tomorrow. With the abundant of resources available to us as professionals, loving the children today and working with their families will significantly affect our world tomorrow. Thank you.
Shevia,
Catholic Charities is a great organization for helping children and families. They are very active in our particular area and are often mentioned in the material that my daughter brings home from her Pre-K program, as that program caters to low income families, such as us! That was a great website to mention!! :)
I enjoyed your quotes. The last quote "Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see." is really deep. I do not believe that people understand the seriousness of teaching our youth to one day grow up and become the country's next leader.
Hello, I love your quotes! Thank you for the link to the US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. The Services tab has many great government resources for families in need.
Hi,
I found the Doula Mother resource interesting. It reminded me of that BRAVO TV show Pregnant in Heels that follows the pregnant mother's concierge. I didn't even know services like this existed but apparently it's not just a tv show! Thank you for sharing!
