Inspirational Quotes

It is important to help children learn as much as possible about parenting to help prevent social problems like premature child bearing, and child neglect and abuse.  Now that we know more about brain development in the very young, it is critical that we teach our future parents the important role that parents can play in stimulating and nurturing their children, and in preparing them to reach their full potential in school and in later life- Edward Zigler, Ph.D

I have long believed that the development of a child does not begin the day he is born or at age three- but much earlier, during the formative years of his parents. – Edward Zigler, Ph.D
Whoever said anybody has a right to give up? -Marian Wright Edelman
Service is the rent we pay for being.  It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.-Marian Wright Edelman

I love the quote from Marian Wright Edelman "Whoever said anybody has the right to give up?" That quote is very powerful and important particurally now during a time in which our encomony is in a deficit and many employers, employees, companies, and schools are suffering. Its important for people to remember to remain motivated, focused, and determined in everything they do in their life. Very inspirational quote!!!!

Hi Shevia,

I really like the quotes that you chose, especially the one "I have a built in passion to make a difference in the world." As an educator we must have a passion for helping children learn to their fullest potentials, because when we have a passion, we can really motivate children to learn.

Wow,powerful quotes! I really enjoyed the first quote because this is very true!I believe if we start to educate children on that topic we will see a decline in children bearing children.

This is a very meaningful quote.
I would like children to experience many different types of things. So I want to open many doors for the children I work with.

I like this quote. It is very meaningful. I would like to be an early childhood educator who can open many doors for children.

I really like the quotes you chose from Edward Zigler, especially the second one. I do not have children yet, but I feel that my children will have certain things expected of them because of how I was raised.

Hi Shevia,
Thanks for the post from Edward Zigler that stressed the importance of parental influence. It's so true that what you know is what you will teach and so our children owe a lot to us and our past. Let us check those things we are carrying over into raising our children that may be affecting their development.
