Relationship Reflection

Relationships are important because they set the foundation for interacting with a person. Wheter it is a relationship with a family member, significant other or friend, they all hold some significance especially when it is a positive relationship. Relationships are important to me because I have people in my life that motivate me and provide additional supports that I may not be able to give myself. Relationships provide communication and trust to many people's life. There are many challenges within relationships because people do not always agree with one another. Trust is also something that makes builiding a relationship challenging at times because it is hard to build and maintain. Parents have to trust teachers in order for the partnership to be successful and teachers have to trust parents and get to know them. My experiences with relationships and partnerships have made me more aware of a families impact on a child's life. If a child does not have a good support system they might face many challenges. My experience as a case mangaer has allowed me to build relationships with teens and their families as well as value my relationship with each student. Without trust a relationship will fail and I think this is an important factor to remember.
